With summer arriving late next week river temps are rising. The need to feed is moving from springs small hatch window of 12 noon to 3 PM to a late afternoon period of 4 PM to 10 PM . A combination of bright sun light and warm water temperatures need to be monitored as the true middle of the day and early afternoon heats up the rivers.
The rivers all have plenty of water and some are still tannin colored. The Sturgeon & Pigeon rivers are in good condition .The Black and Maple are are inside their banks. The Maple is a light tea color now and the fishing is good. Look for the seasonal hatches and duck the surprise thunder storms.
This rain is moving out by tomorrow and hasn't flooded out the rivers. I am looking for a fine week of fishing; Fish On.
